My friend Kristopher

My friend Kristopher used to sit at my table. But we moved a couple days ago and so now I don't sit next to him anymore, but I still see him. And sometimes he dropped his pencil and when I was at his table I picked it up and on spelling test sometimes he dropped his yellow folder and his spelling and I picked it up. Now he sits next to Katie and Espy. He didn't change his spot, but everyone else did. And Kristopher has brown hair and he was a new kid. And sometimes he has a shirt on and is carrying another shirt and playing with it. And he had to go to the office and was taken out by Mr. Paulson a couple times cause he wasn't being good and he didn't know how to draw sheep and he made a big fuss about it. That's it.

My 52nd day of school

Mommy dropped me off on the loop. I had lots of stuff for Ms. Long. I gave it to her. Then I went to Table 1 (that's where I sit) to read my book called Merry Christmas, Amelia Bedila!.I finished it. I went to write it in my Book Log. Then it was time

--mommy helps type now--

for school. We did the brain dance and we did a new song and it went like this "pupp! pupp! pupp! pupp!" and then it went like this "chusc! chusc! chusc!" And then after that we sat on the carpet and Ms Long talked about learner profiles. And Ms. Long talked about word work, but we didn't do it. We read Ralph S. Mouse to each other. And then we lined up for recess. And we went out to recess and then we went to the fairy stump and we played a game with goblins and fairys. And Kohl was a goblin and I was a fairy and Bailey was a fairy. Then we went back inside and we sat down and Ms. Long talked about math. And then we went to bathroom break. And then we came back. Then we did some more math. And then we had lunch. And Kai's dad came and sat by her. And then we had recess and we played the fairy game again, but this time both Kohl's were golbins and lots of other people were goblins. But there were lots of fairies too and sometimes the golbins took their wings, but then we got them back and sewed them on, and then the goblins took our wings again. And then Mrs. Platt blew the whistle and we went inside. And after we went inside we did number corner. It was the 52nd day.

My friend Bailey

Bailey is my best friend. We play a lot, mostly chasing Luis around, but sometimes we play tetherball together or jumprope on the basketball court. Bailey has short brown hair and brown eyes. She is chatty, outgoing and likes to run. And she has two other best friends - Juliana and Hannah. They used to play together at recess, but now they can't because either Morgan Erick, Jatin or Jaden are chasing Juliana, Bailey, me and Hannah. And this is what usually happens: we all come running from different directions and all collide with each other, that is what usually happens. We like to play together. Bailey has two little sisters named Julia and Sydney. They're twins. They are also a good friend of Brooklynn's and went to the school Brooklynn went to. (I just wrote "the school that Brooklynn went to" because when I am reading it a long time from now when Brooklynn is not in preschool it will seem strange). THE END.

The Potluck

The school potluck was fun. Me and Bailey and Justine and Jaimey AND Katie AND Jatin chased after Luis and his little sister Abby. It was a lot of fun. Then as we were walking back to get lunch we saw Mr. Paulson, hee hee hee. Then we ate lunch, I mean dinner, I had watermelon, carrots, bread, noodles and water. Then for dessert I had a flower shaped cookie with blue icing and rainbow sprinkles with a whole in the middle, but half of it fell in the bark chips and so I buried it up and got a new one. Then we chased after Luis some more and we went to the big huge slide and half of our crew went up the ladder to share Luis away to make him go down the slide and the other half ducked under the slide so that if Luis ran down the slide then we would grab him. And then we took him to jail. THE END.

The 7th day of school (Thursday)

Typed by Mommy: Mommy dropped me off on the loop and I put my stuff away. Then we did some math. We did some easy math and then we read books to ourselves to see how long we could do it. After that we went to bathroom break and recess. (I brought my book) then we came inside after a short recess because again the boys were messing around in the hall. Cause they always do that. And then when we came inside we did some more math and we read somethings from our books. Then we went to bathroom break again. Then we came back and we read to someone. Then we had lunch. I ate a turkey and cheese sandwich from the cafeteria. And when everyone who was eating lunch at my table had gotten waffles and a sausage, the sausage, Jodie said that everybody else had to get a sandwich in first grade and I said "good, cause I wanted a sandwich!" And so I ate my sandwich. Then we went to bathroom break AGAIN. We have 3 or 4 bathroom breaks. Then we went to lunch recess. Again I jumproped, but I also helped Bailey get away from Morgan Erick but then Jatin chased after me and got me and then he pushed me into the grass and Bailey got into the grass to and then Morgan Erick and Jatin fell on top of us. (laughter!) And that's how I got the bruise on my knee. Then we went inside we went to number corner, we checked off another day in school, we put another dot for another day in school. We put another unifix cube in its spot and then Ms. Long wrote "seven" on the board. Then we did the math with the pattern cards and I got the trickiest pattern and, wait until you hear this, it is very funny....Ms. Long tricked herself on the math problem! But she didn't trick me! After we did math we FINALLY went to music. And Ms. Severin said that the piano was in the string instrument family. Why? It's because at the very top of the piano there's a lid and if you take the lid off you'll see some little strings inside it and the strings are connected to the piano keys, so if you play one piano key, there's a little hammer inside the piano and there's a little hammer connected to the piano so when you hit a key, the key hits the hammer, the hammer hits the string, and the string hits the tune string! Then we came back from music and we packed up, read aloud. We read a little tiny bit of the "Boxcar Children" it's the first one in the series. Then we grabbed our backpacks and went outside. Then we went home. THE END.

My 6th day of First Grade (Wednesday)

Brinsley typed: We learned MORE of the braindance. After that,Ms.Long said that by friday,we would learn the whole braindance! Then we did math for a long time.We went to bathroom break.

Mommy typed: We had first recess and then we came back and did something. And then we got books that have lots of stories in them. There is "the Big Blue Ox," "the Fox and the Kit," "Pig in a Wig," and "Animal Park" and I forgot the rest of them. But there were 6 stories. Then we read our books to one another. It was fun! My partner was Kai. The we had lunch. Then we went to bathroom break and lunch recess. But lunch recess was short because the boys kept on talking and fooling around in the hallway. So we only had 5 minutes when we could have had 30 minutes. Bailey went in the line for tetherball and I jumproped on the basketball court not far from the tetherball. And when Ms. Long said "first graders" we got in line and walked back to our classroom. Then we went to PE. We came back and packed up and we read a story. And then we lined up and went home. THE END.
